EffectiveArts’ technology is made up of three basic elements:
Laboratory with No Consequences™, Theater of Exploration™,
and Organizational Storytelling™. These elements are combined
to produce transformational experiences.
When the stakes are too high to fail, you:
practice, practice, practice.
Then, when the real situation occurs,
master-level performance is possible.
We work with you to establish the profiles—the objectives
and life circumstances—of stakeholder groups that members
of your organization are likely to encounter. Then we train actors
to embody those stakeholders. Finally, we invite your trainees to
interact with the stakeholder one-on-one as they would expect to
in the course of their job. After the interaction, we facilitate
a reflection on the experience. Trainees report that the
situations are indistinguishable from real life.
The language we use gives us our world.
How key concepts are constructed and languaged
either limits them or gives the concepts, and
we who use them, power and effectiveness.
We develop scenarios that inquire into relevant and important
social or technical concepts. Through these scenarios and the interwoven
facilitated discussion, the nature of the concept and its related
aspects are grappled with, revealed, and articulated. Participants
are left with a deep appreciation for, understanding of and experience
of the concept.
Stories are the fabric of organizations. They bring the
shared values and vision alive, and transmit them over time
.
The culture of an organization is determined by the
stories it tells itself. Embedded in the stories are the transcendent
values of the group, such as honor, courage and strength. Our trained
directors and facilitators work closely with the leaders and staff
to co-create a performance that speaks the shared history, shared
values and shared vision of the organization.
